Working At Work (V2)

The time has come for Volume II of our Working At Work blog series. While prepping this blog I noticed a few things I'd like to point out.

+ Amber and I own the same orange-red H&M skirt. AWESOME.

+ Amber, Maddie and I all wear this same orange-red color, a lot. Still awesome.

+ Jeff's bridal party shots are always incredibly epic looking.

+ T.J. has more weird photos than anyone on our team. Hands down.

It's fun to try and match up these behind-the-scenes photos with the actual images being taken at the time. Most of the sessions below have aleady been blogged. Sometimes I'll look at a photo of Jeff or Amber working and then say "Whoa!! They were standing THERE for that photo!? Who knew!?"

Happy Thursday everyone! Let us know you're favorites!

George + Anali

I am so excited to share this wedding with everyone! George and Anali met while working at the same bank. When George was enrolled at a university in Switzerland, Anali made the decision to join him. They would ultimately end up marrying there and decided to have a second ceremony here in the states. When Amber and I first arrived to the Audubon Center, our jaws dropped. The venue was broken up into two halves, with the cocktail hour taking place at a cute country house, while dinner and dancing was at the pavilion. Anali made all of the gorgeous details all by her own two hands. This even includes the groomsmen's bow ties! Guests traveled from many countries around the world to celebrate the love of this darling couple. It was an absolute pleasure capturing their special day, definitely one of my favorites from 2011. -Jeff

AJ + Lauren

Last month T.J., Jeff and I traveled to New York to photograph AJ + Lauren's wedding. Their day began with everyone getting ready at the Thompson Hotel - which was awesome, because the rooms and lighting were beautiful. The church they were married in was equally as beautiful... and really small. I love the image below (that Jeff caught) of the little church tucked away between the giant buildings. Following the ceremony, everyone walked across the street to the Battery Gardens, where cocktail hour and the reception was being held. The gardens were the perfect place to shoot the bridal party and bride + groom portraits! Right as the cocktail hour was winding down, an enourmous storm blew in and within minutes the sky was completely dark (see photo!) and rainy. I was so happy their reception was being held indoors.

AJ + Lauren's reception was so much fun - the shouting and clapping that errupted when the newlyweds were announced into the dining room was unlike anything I'd ever heard before. It was so LOUD! And so fitting for something as exciting as your very own wedding day. Dinner, speeches, and the Smilebooth closed out the evening - along with some of the best dancing I've ever seen. Their wedding day was truly a celebration! [BC]

Bohemian-Glam Wedding Inspiration

Last week I posted one of Lori's (Wildflowers By Design) styled shoots - and today I am posting the second session. This session was incredibly beautiful and I'm so glad that Lori asked Maddie to be our bride, because she was a perfect fit! Again, Jessica designed the paper goodness, Lori designed and styled the table and flowers and the dress was from In White.

I'll just let these images speak for themselves. Happy Monday! [BC]

Vintage Wedding Inspiration

Lori from Wildflowers By Design put together two completely different, yet equally beautiful, styled session last month and I had the priviledge of shooting them. We shot on a personal property in Elizabethtown and Nicole was one of our fabulous models (and friends!). Lori's friend Jessica (from Love, Jessica) designed all of the paper goods - which were beautiful. Below is one of the looks I shot - I'll blog the other session next week. As you can see, Lori is incredibly talented and all you brides-to-be out there really should contact her about your wedding day. :) Happy Friday everyone! [BC]

Joe + Jessica

Last year when T.J. and I photographed Joe + Jessica for their engagement session, I knew their wedding was going to be awesome. Jess talking about all of these little details for her big day - and we've all been looking forward to their wedding since!

Joe + Jessica tied the knot at a local church and held their reception at the Conewago Manor. They wanted an old world, elegant feel to their day, so the Conewago Inn was perfect for their celebration! Jess ordered her shoes from the UK (before she found her dress!) and they arrived via Royal Mail. Joe's tuxedo was custom made for him in New York City, with antique buttons purchased online to compliment the look.

Their reception was one of the most beautiful I've been to. Each table was named after the couple's favorite paintings and their first dance was a classic waltz. The lavendar on the menus at everyone's seat came from Jessica's Mom's and Great Aunt's garden. The dessert bar included their favorite treats, including French maccaroons they discovered on a trip to Paris and Italian Seven Layer Cake (one of Joe's favorites, from Brooklyn, NYC). Signature drinks were choosen by Joe + Jessica for the evening - "Cuba Libre" for the groom and "Wedding Cake Martinis" for the bride. The Smilebooth was also part of their reception... so really, could it have been better?!? [BC]
