Aaron + Michaela

Aaron + Michaela's wedding was what I can only describe as a musical-explosion. It was awesome. Both the happy couple and many of their guests hail from Nashville... so yea, I guess we should have expected it. It rained the first half of their day, but I had faith that the sun would come out eventually and it did! Michaela wore her Grandmother's dress and it was just perfect for her!

But back to the music, I swear every single person at that reception could sing just as beautifully as the last. Every time I turned around a new guest was up front, rocking the mic. The evening ended with Michaela singing a song to Aaron that she wrote for him. It was beautiful and romantic and I'm pretty sure everyone was crying. Someday when she's famous and her songs are No. 1 on iTunes you'll know why were were all crying. Happy-love tears of course!

Doug + Amanda

Several weeks ago, T.J. and I spent all weekend driving all over the Pennsylvania and New Jersey for our weddings. Our first wedding of the weekend was up in the Pocono Mountains with Doug + Amanda. The girls got ready at this awesome cabin in the woods, which looked like it may have been part of Narnia. It was perfect for portraits and their first look. It was the most secluded, quiet first look I've ever been a part of. There's a good chance Aslan was watching from afar.

Amanda did a great job with the camp-themed details and I'm so glad we got to be part of their day! Doug + Amanda's wedding is proof that it can rain ALL DAY and you can still have a great time.

Jeff + Liz

There's a good chance that many of you have been waiting on this wedding for a little while! Maybe Jeff shot your wedding, or you follow him on Instagram, but it's finally here! Jeff has been on our team for the last several years and I've known Liz since she was little. Like, little little.

Some of my favorite things about Jeff + Liz's wedding are as follows: Uhm, the flowers. Times a million. I was so pumped when Jeff + Liz hired Lori to do their florals. She's fantastic. I also loved the handwritten details Jeff added to their day. And how hard everyone danced.

Neil + Laura

There's just something about these Maryland weddings! Neil + Laura were wed at the beautiful Elkridge-Harford Hunt Club in Monkton. Their ceremony was one of the most beautifully lit locations I've ever had the privilege of photographing at. It made you feel as if you were in the South. What my wife Liz and I loved most about their day was how genuinely nice everyone was to us throughout the day! I'm so excited to share this wedding with you all, it is one of my favorites this season! -Jeff

Henry + Lauren

There were so many reasons why I was so excited to be a part of this wedding. Lauren and I met each other in Middle School and had the pleasure of sharing a few classes together. One day, for some reason, we decided to give each other nicknames. I called her Jesse and she called me Bob. The names stuck. We went our separate ways in high school and college, but kept in contact once in a while. When she got engaged I was beyond thrilled to learn that she was interested in having me capture their day. Getting to go back home to New Jersey is always nice. And this time, it was like a five-year reunion! Henry + Lauren were married on Sandy Hook, one of my favorite spots back home. Their day was filled with so much emotion, from tears to laughter. And to say that this was a fun and energetic group of friends would be an extreme understatement. Trust me, they all know how to have a good time. I was so thankful to be part of this day and getting to reconnect with so many people was amazing. Drew + Bethany

Over the years, I've had the honor of getting to know Drew + Bethany. I don't think there's a person in this world that would say that these two weren't one of the nicest couples on this planet. I got to know Drew through walk in love. and the first thing you notice when you talk to Drew is that he cares about what you have to say. His excitement for others is invigorating. And to be honest, Bethany is just the same. On their wedding day, the weather changed about twelve times. From sunny, to overcast, to sunny, to rain, to sunny, to overcast... you get the idea. But Drew + Bethany didn't let it affect what their day was all about. I heard some of the best speeches ever at their wedding, seeing first-hand how loved they are. And Bethany swears that when she first saw Drew, she knew he was the one. Her testimony was awesome! I was so thankful to have been able to photograph their day with my wife Liz. John + Lauren

John + Lauren's wedding was nothing short of stunning. I always enjoy shooting at The Farm at Eagle's Ridge and it really was the perfect location for John + Lauren's big celebration. But, back to everything being stunning for a second... seriously. It was. Her shoes. Her dress. The flowers. The food. The girls. THE WEATHER! Everything! It makes me so happy when brides really know their style and use awesome vendors to make everything happen!

Taylor + Kelsey

This blog post has been a long time coming! My younger, and only, brother Taylor started dating Kelsey years ago. We all liked her from the very beginning. So, naturally we were super pumped when he popped the question (which you've got to check out HERE) last fall. Ever since that day on her parent's front porch, Kelsey and I have been dreaming and scheming about their wedding day. Kelsey and I put a lot of time into planning and designing their big day and I can honestly say everything turned out even better than I'd imagined. The plan was for it to be a "mid-century-modern-confetti-exploding-dance-party" ... and that's exactly what we got.

I could go on and on about Taylor + Kelsey and how much we love them, and how hard Kelsey worked on every detail, and how much fun their day was - but I'd really like to get to the awesome photos. Their wedding day was a team effort between Jeff, Liz and myself. I'm so glad I have such talented photographers to work along side of me on super important days like Taylor's.

Last, but certainly not least, Taylor is a DJ - The Electric Gentleman - so, he created the dance mix for their reception. It was so much fun. I felt like the photos weren't quite doing justice to JUST how bananas the dancing was... so I added a little something extra, just for fun.

Ian + Beth

Last year T.J. and I traveled to Boston to meet Ian + Beth and shoot their engagements. We had such a good time walking around the city with them and their dog, and I was certain that their wedding day would be just as enjoyable as they are.

Several weeks ago T.J. and I drove to Penn State for the wedding celebration of Ian + Beth and ask expected - it was a wonderful day. Their ceremony was one of the most joyful ones I've ever been a part of. People were practically cheering when she came down the aisle. It was awesome.

Since both Ian + Beth, and most of their bridal party, are Penn State Alumni, we spend most of their portrait time driving all around campus to the different places they wanted photos at. It was such a fun group. We ended their portraits in the stadium just as the sun was setting! And the best part was that Coach Franklin happened to be on the field at that time with several new recruits and they all yelled "Congrats!" to Ian + Beth and then started the "WE ARE!" "PENN STATE" chant. I'm certain that was a super memorable moment for the newlyweds.

I'm so grateful for fun and happy couples like Ian + Beth. They make my job even more enjoyable! Enjoy!
