Guys. I am so excited about this post. Ryan + Kaila's wedding celebration was downright beautiful and I just want to point out a few of my favorite elements.
First off, their invites were fabulous. I wish you could feel them with your own hands. Beautifully letter pressed with velvet ribbons and gold envelopes. Stunning. My favorite local florist, who I mention every time I do a wedding with her, Lori from Wildflowers by Design did the florals. I was so happy when I saw her white van pulling onto the property!! JDK handled the catering and set up and did a wonderful job, as usual. Oh! And T.J. and I thoroughly enjoyed meeting and working with Willow Tree Films!
About a month before Ryan + Kaila tied the knot, they buried a bottle of bourbon at their ceremony site. It's a southern tradition that is said to keep the rain away! After the ceremony, the bridal party dug it up and each took a drink to celebrate the beautiful weather and couple!
Kaila had a sweet "first look" moment with her Father, where he presented her with a sixpence for her shoe. I never knew that the actual tradition reads as such, "Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue and a sixpence in your shoe." Who knew!? The sixpence, or penny, is meant to bring wealth and good fortune to the couple.
After a delicious meal and hours of dancing, Ryan + Kaila, along with family, ended the night by sending off wish/prayer lanterns. This always makes for beautiful images.
Hope you enjoy every image from this wedding as much as I do! -Brooke
